We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Teacher to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance instruction and a genuine enthusiasm for working with children of various ages. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and enjoyment
- Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Incorporate elements of creative movement, choreography, and physical education into lessons
- Manage behaviour effectively, ensuring safety and discipline during classes
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum content that aligns with organisational goals
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and achievements
- Maintain organised records of attendance, assessments, and lesson plans
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students.
- Assist in drama and singing classes where required
Experience
- Proven experience in teaching dance , particularly with children or early childhood learners
- Familiarity with behaviour management strategies
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool environments
- Skills in proofreading, curriculum development, or tutoring are advantageous
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues
- Have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check
- Creative writing skills are beneficial for developing engaging lesson content and instructional materials
