The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The role involves the fabrication and welding of a wide range of architectural and structural steelwork, both in the workshop and occasionally on-site. Successful candidate will be required to compete welder certification/approval in line with company welding procedures as part of our requirement to fulfil our obligations under BS EN 1090.
Key Responsibilities
· Fabrication of structural and architectural steelwork from technical drawings
· MIG welding (TIG experience desirable but not essential)
· Working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
· Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications accurately
· Assembling components to high-quality finish standards
· Ensuring all work meets required safety and quality standards
· Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
· Completion of relevant QA and compliance documentation, including BS EN 1090 records, stock control, and quality inspection reports
Requirements
· Proven experience as a fabricator/welder in structural or architectural steelwork
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
· Strong welding skills (MIG essential)
· Good attention to detail and workmanship standards
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Desirable (but not essential)
· TIG welding experience
· Relevant qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or coded welding certs)
· Experience with balustrades, staircases, balconies, or bespoke metalwork
