Due to continued growth, Park Lane Windows is looking for an experienced Installation Manager to take responsibility for the smooth and professional delivery of our domestic installation projects.

Park Lane Windows is a well-established, family-run home improvement company specialising in replacement windows, doors, conservatories and tiled conservatory roof conversions. We have built an excellent reputation across Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties for high-quality products, professional installations and outstanding customer service.

This is a senior, hands-on position requiring someone with substantial experience of managing installations within the double-glazing, home-improvement or closely related construction industry.

The Role

The successful candidate will oversee installations from the point of survey and ordering through to completion and customer sign-off. You will coordinate installation teams, surveyors, suppliers, customers and the internal office team to ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and managing the installation schedule
Allocating work to employed and subcontract installation teams
Ensuring installers have the correct products, materials and information
Monitoring workmanship, productivity and customer service standards
Carrying out site inspections and quality-control visits
Managing technical queries and resolving installation issues
Dealing professionally with customers throughout the installation process
Overseeing remedial and service work
Working closely with surveyors, suppliers and the production team
Checking installations against survey details and contract specifications
Ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements
Managing installer performance and maintaining high standards
Controlling installation costs, delays and outstanding works
Ensuring projects are completed promptly and signed off correctly
Reporting regularly to the company directors

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants should have:

Previous experience as an Installation Manager, Contracts Manager or Senior Installation Supervisor
Strong knowledge of windows, doors and associated building work
Experience within the double-glazing or home-improvement industry
A good understanding of surveying and installation processes
The ability to manage several installation teams and projects simultaneously
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer-service and communication skills
A practical, organised and hands-on approach
The confidence to deal with challenging situations professionally
Good knowledge of health and safety requirements
Basic computer and administrative skills
A full UK driving licence

Experience with conservatories, extensions and lightweight tiled conservatory roofs would be a significant advantage.
