We are seeking a proactive, organised and adaptable Operations Support Coordinator & SEND Tutor (16+) to join our growing education provision.
This is a hybrid role combining high-quality inclusive teaching for young people aged 16+ with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) alongside operational, administrative and coordination support for the Senior Leadership Team. 36 Weeks term time + 4 weeks.
Salary competitive and dependent on experience.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our provision, supporting staff, students and systems to deliver high-quality, person-centred education.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, student-focused, and ready to contribute to both teaching and operational delivery within a dynamic SEND environment.
This is a key developmental role for someone looking to grow their experience in operational leadership within a specialist education setting.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
- Work closely with the Chief Operations Officer to support the day-to-day operational running of Bedazzle.
- Coordinate staff absence cover and communicate timetable changes effectively.
- Respond to operational enquiries and direct them appropriately.
- Support the planning and organisation of staff meetings, consultations and CPD.
- Assist with timetabling, scheduling and operational planning.
- Monitor attendance information and escalate concerns where appropriate.
- Facilitate communication between leadership, tutors, families and external professionals.
- Support the maintenance and development of operational systems and processes.
Student Services & Administration
- Support the coordination and administration of Annual Reviews, including preparation of documentation and reports.
- Assist with admissions, enrolment and student onboarding processes.
- Prepare paperwork for meetings with Local Authorities, families and external agencies.
- Maintain accurate student records and ensure documentation is kept up to date.
- Support compliance with EHCP documentation, reporting and tracking.
- Work collaboratively with Case Managers and the Lead Case Manager to ensure accurate and timely student information.
- Monitor key deadlines related to student programmes, reviews and reporting cycles.
- Work closely with the Exams Coordinator to support the coordination, administration and tracking of student accreditations and qualifications, ensuring tutors and case managers have accurate information, deadlines and documentation to support student achievement.
Staff Support
- Coordinate staff absence cover and ensure appropriate communication of changes.
- Support staff induction processes and onboarding administration.
- Assist with organisation of staff training, CPD and meetings.
- Provide administrative support to managers and follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate staff records and operational documentation.
Teaching Responsibilities
Alongside operational responsibilities, the successful candidate will tutor students aged 16+ with SEND.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, personalised learning sessions.
- Teaching across a range of subjects depending on student need and tutor ability.
- Preparing learning materials and structured session plans.
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate session records.
- Supporting students to achieve their EHCP outcomes and personal goals.
- Adapting teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality educational experiences.
Safeguarding & Professional Responsibilities
- Uphold Bedazzle’s safeguarding procedures at all times.
- Ensure all safeguarding concerns, incidents, accidents and behaviour records are recorded and submitted appropriately and promptly.
- Promote the safety, wellbeing and welfare of all students.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR requirements.
- Work in line with Bedazzle’s policies, procedures and values.

- Has experience working with young people with SEND.
- Is proactive, reliable and solution-focused.

- Demonstrates strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Desirable
- Experience within education administration or operational support.
- Experience supporting Annual Reviews or EHCP processes.
- Experience coordinating staff or operational systems.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Teaching qualification.
