Atlantis Tanks Group is a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of liquid storage solutions. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Pipefitter / Mechanical Fitter to join our team at our Mildenhall facility.
This is a hands-on role working on the assembly, fabrication and installation of fuel storage tank systems for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications, including standby power, data centres, healthcare and critical infrastructure.
The Role
Your primary responsibility will be the fitting, fabrication and welding of pipework associated with fuel storage tanks and fuel management systems. Depending on your experience and interests, there will also be opportunities to become involved in a variety of fabrication, mechanical assembly and bespoke engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication, fitting and installation of steel pipework systems.
- Welding of fuel lines, manifolds and associated components.
- Assembly and mechanical fit-out of fuel storage tank packages.
- Installation of pumps, valves, gauges, filters and ancillary equipment.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
- Pressure testing and quality checking completed systems.
- Assisting with fabrication and workshop projects where required.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, quality and safety.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience in pipefitting, mechanical fitting or fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Practical workshop and engineering skills.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable
- MIG welding experience.
- Experience working with fuel systems, pipework or storage tanks.
- Mechanical assembly or fabrication experience.
- Forklift licence.
- CSCS card or site experience.
