Overview
Having completed Phase 1 of our refurbishment we are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Recreation Team Leader to oversee and coordinate a variety of recreational activities within our facility. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about creating engaging experiences for members and fostering a welcoming environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong supervisory skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Leading and supervising the recreation team to deliver high-quality programmes and activities tailored to our Pool and Gym timetable.
- Planning, organising, and overseeing daily recreational activities, ensuring they are engaging, safe, and inclusive.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of recreational services within the overall member experience.
- Monitor health and safety standards during activities, implementing necessary precautions and reporting concerns.
- Manage resources effectively, including equipment, supplies, and facilities maintenance.
- Open/close the Centre and carry out keyholder duties
- Assume overall responsibility for the Centre in the absence of Management
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a leisure, hospitality or community recreation setting.
- Strong background in delivering exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional approach.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to recreational environments is desirable.
- The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications, ideally: Level 2 Fitness, NPLQ Lifeguard, Pool Plant Operator & First Aid
