About Us:
Access XL are seeking a Draughtsman to join our group engineering team in our Forfar facility. If you're passionate about mechanical design, implementing and executing engineering projects, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise SolidWorks to create, modify, and enhance designs and drawings, adhering to Access XL's established processes.
- Develop and update designs, fabrication drawings, product packages, and comprehensive product documentation, including user and fitting manuals, as well as schedule and test plans for our diverse range of products.
- Work in conjunction with suppliers to specify components and parts, ensuring the highest quality standards.
- Liaise effectively with our production team to streamline the manufacturing process for optimum efficiency.
- Take ownership of designing and managing drawings for multiple projects concurrently.
- Maintain strict adherence to Access XL's company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A degree in engineering design and manufacture or relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in drafting skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge or prior experience in manufacturing processes and materials is highly desired.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Word and Excel for effective documentation and reporting.
- Strong organisational skills, self-motivated, and an exceptional communicator.
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment and is a quick learner with exceptional multitasking abilities.
