Front Counter Staff – Moons Glasgow Central
Location: Glasgow Central, Argyle Street
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Pay: £11.50 – £13.00 per hour
Job Summary
We are looking for friendly, reliable and hardworking Front Counter Staff to join the team at Moons Glasgow Central.
As one of the first points of contact for our customers, you will play an important role in delivering excellent customer service while helping maintain efficient day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for taking customer orders, handling payments, managing online delivery platform orders and ensuring customers receive a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet customers professionally and provide excellent customer service
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Assist customers with enquiries and menu questions
Till & Payments
- Operate the till/POS system efficiently
- Process cash and card payments accurately
- Ensure transactions are handled correctly at all times
Delivery Platform Management
- Monitor and manage Uber Eats and online delivery orders
- Help maintain efficient service flow during busy periods
Cleanliness & Organisation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front counter and customer-facing areas
- Follow food hygiene and workplace procedures
Teamwork
- Work closely with kitchen staff to maintain smooth service
- Support team members during busy periods where required
Skills & Requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Friendly, professional and reliable attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong teamwork and organisational skills
- Basic till handling and cash handling confidence preferred
- Previous hospitality, retail or customer service experience preferred but not essential – training will be provided
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends where required
