Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our new home care service. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure high standards of care, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assisted living and senior care, including those with dementia and Alzheimer's. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong leadership, management, and supervisory skills within a care home or home care setting.

Responsibilities

At the start to be involved with Networking, Marketing and Recruitment
Manage the overall running of the home care service, ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership and supervision.
Oversee medication administration in accordance with legal and organisational policies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice guidelines for adult social care.
Monitor service delivery to ensure safety, dignity, and respect for all service users.
Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks to maintain high standards of care.
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate services effectively.
Lead staff training programmes to promote professional development within the team.
Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and resource allocation efficiently.

Requirements

1 year experience in senior care management within assisted living or nursing home environments.
Strong background in nursing or healthcare management, with knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care.
Comfortable working in a start-up environment where flexibility is essential
Demonstrable experience supervising teams within a care home or home care setting.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members.
Knowledge of relevant legislation such as care inspectorate regulations and safeguarding procedures.
Ability to create comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs.
Competence in medication administration and understanding of clinical protocols.
Organised with excellent communication skills; capable of building positive relationships with residents, families, and external partners.
Compassionate approach with a commitment to delivering person-centred care at all times. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a reputable home care service while making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable adults requiring specialised support.
Qualification in Health & Social Care at SCQF Level 7 or above
SSSC Registration required
Driving license is essential
