Role Purpose

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a competent and proactive Hygiene Manager to take full ownership of the hygiene function and drive continuous improvement across our production site. This is a key role for someone who is passionate about excellence, eager to make a tangible impact and excited by the opportunity to shape and elevate standards within a thriving business.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Hygiene Team, including scheduling, performance management & training.
Oversee all hygiene schedules & cleaning procedures, with regular audits.
Coordinate and execute deep-cleaning activities, including full equipment strip-downs.
Support the Technical Manager with pest control and audit readiness.
Conduct shift inspections to monitor safety and hygiene standards.
Achieve technical targets for microbiological trends, HACCP & equipment release.
Liaise with chemical suppliers to maintain hygiene audit systems.
Investigate microbiological issues, applying root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Maintain documentation in line with BRC Global Food Safety Standard Issue 9.
Continuous improvement of the Hygiene QMS.
Manage the prevention of build-up & contamination on equipment.
Maintain accurate records of all hygiene & maintenance tasks & all relevant training records.
Adhere to all health & safety and food hygiene standards.

Details

Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday + occasional weekend or night shift work required.
Salary: DOE.
Contract: Permanent.
