Invercare is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Head of Care and Support to lead our care services and ensure the highest standards of support across all areas where Invercare operates. While the role covers multiple service locations, the postholder will be primarily based in Inverclyde.
About the Role
As the Head of Care and Support, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of our care services. You will oversee care teams, ensure regulatory compliance, promote continuous improvement, and lead initiatives that enhance the wellbeing and independence of service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and direction to care and support teams across all Invercare service areas.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centred care in line with Invercare values and regulatory standards.
- Oversee service performance, audits, and quality assurance processes.
- Manage staff development, training, and performance.
- Work collaboratively with partners, families, and external agencies.
- Lead service improvements and support organisational growth.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- SVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care.
- Leadership and Management qualification
- Proven experience in a senior care management role.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and best practice in care provision.
Desirable Qualification
- Degree in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
