Overview

Join our dynamic team as an HGV Road Sweeper Driver and take charge of maintaining clean, safe, and visually appealing roadways. In this vital role, you will operate specialized flatbed vehicles equipped with sweeping machinery to efficiently clear debris from busy roads, industrial sites, and commercial areas. Your expertise in commercial driving combined with a keen eye for safety will ensure that public spaces remain pristine and hazard-free. Duties

Operate HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) road sweeper trucks safely and efficiently along designated routes
Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
Clear debris, dirt, and litter from roads, industrial yards, and commercial premises using specialized sweeping equipment
Follow scheduled routes and delivery plans accurately, ensuring timely completion of tasks
Maintain detailed logs of daily operations, including route completion, vehicle maintenance, and safety checks
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates or operational issues
Assist with minor vehicle maintenance or report repairs needed to ensure continuous operation

Requirements

Valid HGV driving license with a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed or similar heavy vehicles
Prior experience as a delivery driver or operating road sweeping machinery is highly desirable
Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for operating large vehicles on public roads
Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings or evenings as required
