Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher with Power Floating experience to join my clients construction team in Glasgow, the hourly rate will be £20ph and this will be paid on a CIS basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces on a variety of projects, ensuring high-quality standards and safety compliance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in concrete finishing and Power Floating and related trades to contribute to diverse commercial and residential developments.

Duties

Smooth, finish, and texture freshly poured concrete using hand tools, power tools, and specialised finishing equipment
Must have Power Floating experience
Apply sealing compounds or surface treatments to enhance durability and appearance
Ensure proper curing of concrete surfaces by applying appropriate techniques and materials
Operate heavy machinery and equipment necessary for concrete placement and finishing processes
Collaborate with team members including masons, carpenters, and other trades to coordinate tasks effectively
Maintain a clean work environment by removing debris and ensuring tools are in good working order
Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times during operations

Rate

£20PH cis

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or in a similar role within the construction industry
Blue CSCS Card required
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised finishing equipment for concrete work
Mechanical knowledge relevant to operating machinery used in concrete finishing processes
Skills in welding, masonry, carpentry, roofing, and heavy lifting are advantageous
Ability to interpret technical drawings and project plans accurately
Strong physical stamina with the capacity for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights
Valid driving licence for commercial driving is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites is required
