Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Seamstress to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing garments with precision and care. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for sewing and a keen eye for detail to contribute to high-quality product delivery in a supportive environment.

Duties

Measure, cut, and sew fabric to produce garments according to specifications and patterns
Alter and repair clothing items, ensuring a perfect fit and finish
Operate sewing machines and related equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organised work area to uphold safety standards
Collaborate with the design team or clients to understand specific requirements
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
Inspect finished products for quality assurance before delivery or distribution

Experience

Proven sewing experience, with the ability to demonstrate craftsmanship and attention to detail
Warehouse experience is preferred, highlighting organisational skills and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with different sewing techniques and machinery operation
Ability to pin customer for garment fittings.
Prior experience in garment alteration or manufacturing is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided as needed

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about sewing who thrive in organised environments. Applicants should possess strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
