Scotland's Railway is part of this large family and it covers a large geographical area from the Borders to Thurso at the far tip of the North East of Scotland, accounting for almost 20 per cent of the UK rail network. To support the management of the safe and effective delivery of Route engineering access plans and possessions, managing all aspects of pre-possession delivery, enabling Routes to deliver work safely and efficiently with minimal disruption to train services. To support investigation into all possession related incidents, providing comprehensive reporting on all possession safety and delivery activities.
The Delivery Assistant plays an integral part in the delivery of Scotland's Railway's Engineering Plan. As a Delivery Assistant you would be fully involved with the planning & delivery process, including creation of safe work packs, allocation of the correct staffing levels to deliver engineering work, production of Safe System Of Work (SSOW) Packs and communicating/co-chairing Possession Meetings to name some of the tasks undertaken within the team.
The role includes the requirement to be fully conversant with basic IT technology such as Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat or Nitro PDF.
Salary: The salary for this positions starts at £30,000 rising to £32,000 per annum.
Network Rail adheres to a structured pay framework, any salary offered to you will be within the pay range advertised. If your current salary is above the maximum shown, you will transfer into the new role on your current base pay. For more information, please refer to your pay.
