erz is a Glasgow based team of landscape architects and urban designers with a passion and reputation for creating beautiful, sustainable places.
We offer a varied and satisfying role for a studio manager within a small friendly team of 10 -12 designers.
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive colleague to support the smooth day-to-day running of our design studio. This role is suited to someone who enjoys working across finance, HR, administration and office management, but who would also like to work within a highly creative environment supporting innovative and meaningful work.
Location: Glasgow
Hours: 3 days / 22.5hrs
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 pro rata, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Raising and issuing sales invoices and ensuring timely payments
- Handling bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
- Processing purchase invoices and managing supplier / subcontractor payments
- Supporting monthly management accounts and cashflow forecasting
- Assisting with end-of-year accounting processes
- Ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements
- Liaising with external payroll providers and coordinating monthly expenses and pension contributions
- Supporting internal and external IT providers
- Managing contracts and office services
- Maintaining and updating office policies and procedures, including H&S accreditation
- Managing insurance renewals including general, cyber, and professional indemnity policies
- Supporting directors with recruitment, staff reviews and general HR administration in conjunction with external HR consultants
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of bids
- Providing ad hoc project and administrative support to the wider team
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a finance, office administration, or operations role
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with accounting software (Xero)
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and flexible approach to work
