Job Overview

We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Cafe All Rounder to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering a high standard of service and have a flexible approach to various tasks within the café setting. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but full training will be provided. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in the hospitality industry while working in a friendly environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks as per customer orders
Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items meet food safety standards
Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders and handling payments accurately
Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, kitchen, and equipment
Restock supplies and ensure all stock is stored correctly
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are upheld
Manage multiple tasks effectively during busy periods using good time management skills
Support team members with general duties as required to ensure smooth operation of the café

Qualifications

Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food safety standards is preferred
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional attitude
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently when needed
