Our partner is a leading, UK-wide consultancy specialising in providing high-quality, technically robust ground investigation, land quality, and geotechnical engineering. They are part of firm that delivers comprehensive, multidisciplinary solutions across various market sectors.
They are seeking a Geo-Environmental Engineer for their Glasgow office to deliver technical consultancy for a diverse portfolio, ranging from residential developers and energy firms to public sector bodies and lead designers.

Responsibilities
Managing fieldwork activities including supervising drilling and excavation works, and undertaking gas and groundwater monitoring, low-flow groundwater sampling and surface water sampling.
Undertaking Preliminary Risk Assessments (Phase 1 Desk Studies) and intrusive site investigations for environmental and/or geotechnical purposes in line with national standards and codes of practice
Supporting the project manager in planning new projects including liaising with subcontractors and suppliers and preparing health, safety, environment and quality (SHEQ) documentation
Scheduling soil, rock and water samples for chemical and geotechnical laboratory testing
Writing factual and interpretative reports
Supporting tender managers in preparing fee proposals.
Requirements
BSc degree level qualified in Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or a related subject essential.
Up to 3 years previous relevant work background
Willing to spend a significant amount of their working day out on site and away from home
Rock core logging capabilities is advantageous but not essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing
Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise workload
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Skilled with Microsoft Office applications in particular Word and Excel.
Proactive approach to professional development with current (or aspiring) membership of a relevant professional body
Full UK driving licence essential.
