The role:
As a Maternity Waiting List Co-ordinator within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, you will play a vital role in supporting safe, effective and timely care for women and families across our maternity services. Working as part of a dedicated and compassionate team, you will coordinate planned care, ensuring women are supported through key stages of their journey. Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.
Key responsibilities:
- Support and manage Planned Caesarean Birth and Induction of Labour waiting lists across NHSGGC

Ensure all patients are scheduled within appropriate clinical timeframes and national waiting time guarantees
-
Work proactively to identify potential delays and implement solutions to maintain patient flow and minimise waiting times

Act as a key liaison point between clinical teams, administrative colleagues and patients, ensuring clear and compassionate communication

Monitor waiting list data, identify trends, and escalate risks or capacity issues to relevant teams

Coordinate theatre and service capacity, including adjustments to maximise efficiency and utilisation

Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient information across relevant systems while ensuring confidentiality and data protection standards
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Experience in a healthcare setting, ideally within an acute or maternity environment

Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage complex and competing demands

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and patient management systems with the ability to analyse and interpret data

Understanding of waiting time targets, patient pathways and NHS systems and processes

Ability to work independently, use initiative and take a proactive problem-solving approach

Knowledge of confidentiality, GDPR and handling sensitive information in a professional and compassionate manner
