Duties
Perform routine maintenance tasks:
- Mow, trim, and edge lawns using power tools and hand tools
- Hedge cutting
- Pruning
- Application of fertilizers/insecticides etc.
- Turf laying
- Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Water and irrigate plants as needed
- Remove weeds, leaves, and debris from the grounds
- Assist with the construction of new garden beds or structures
- Operate and maintain equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers
- Perform basic repairs on equipment as necessary
- Snow clearance/gritting re Contract work
Requirements
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping preferred but not essential as training will be given
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects and digging
- Strong attention to detail to ensure the quality of work
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
