Role Overview
FCB Logistics LTD is seeking reliable and professional self-employed courier drivers to provide parcel delivery services on behalf of our client network.
Drivers will be responsible for the safe collection and delivery of parcels within a designated route area while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with road safety regulations.
This opportunity is offered on a self-employed basis, allowing drivers to operate as independent contractors responsible for their own tax and National Insurance obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Courier drivers will be responsible for:
- Collecting parcels from the assigned depot.
- Loading and organising parcels within the delivery vehicle.
- Delivering parcels safely and efficiently within the allocated route area.
- Providing excellent customer service during deliveries and collections.
- Using handheld delivery scanning devices where required.
- Ensuring all parcels are delivered in accordance with operational procedures.
- Reporting delivery issues, damages, or incidents promptly.
- Following safe driving practices and all UK road traffic laws.
- Maintaining professional conduct when representing the company and its client.
Vehicle & Equipment
Drivers may be provided with:
- A delivery vehicle (subject to agreement)
- Fuel card (business use only)
- Uniform
Drivers are responsible for ensuring the safe and proper use of all equipment supplied.
Compliance Requirements
All drivers must:
- Hold a full valid UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category.
- Have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Pass a background and licence check where required.
- Comply with all applicable road traffic and safety laws.
Earnings
Payment is typically structured based on one or more of the following:
- Daily route rate
- Per parcel delivery rate
- Performance-based incentives
