What you need to know

Hours: 35 hours Mon- Fri 9:00am -5: 00pm

Contract type: Fixed Term for an 18month period up to 14th January 2028

Location: At Mitchell Library, North St, Glasgow G3 7DN , with excellent public transport links and free parking in the Mitchell. .

What you’ll do

As a Records Assistant, you will work in the Records Management team, , which is part of the City Archives and Records Management department, reporting to the Records Manager. You’ll play an essential role in managing the Council’s non-current records. Your work will make a visible and lasting difference. This could be:

Supporting the Council and Glasgow Family to manage their modern records
Support national public enquiries/schemes, Data Protection/Freedom of Information

Experience of customer focus, demonstrating delivery of effective customer services
Previous experience of clerical and administrative
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to handle, move, pack, store and transport, archives and records
