Needles & Pins Aerospace manufactures high-quality textile and composite components used in specialist engineering and aerospace applications.
We are looking for a skilled Sewing Machinist to join our production team. This role involves sewing and assembling precision components using industrial sewing machinery, working from patterns, templates and technical instructions.
This is not a clothing or repair role. The work requires accuracy, consistency and pride in workmanship to produce components to defined specifications and tolerances.

- Sewing and assembling components in line with drawings, patterns and specifications
- Operating industrial sewing machines (flatbed, walking foot, cylinder arm or similar)
- Measuring, marking and cutting materials accurately
- Setting up machines, including thread selection and tension adjustments
- Inspecting finished work to ensure consistent quality and accuracy
- Following work instructions and production documentation
- Reporting defects or material issues
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area

Essential
- Experience as a sewing machinist, seamstress or textile assembler
- Ability to work from patterns, templates or technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and consistent stitch quality
- Experience using industrial sewing machines
- Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team
Desirable
- Experience in upholstery, leather goods, bridal wear or technical textiles
- Experience working with specialist or engineered materials
- Basic machine setup knowledge (threading, tension, adjustments)
- Experience in a manufacturing or quality-controlled environment
