Job Description

We are a leading consultancy delivering complex IT programmes across public sector organisations. Our team is expanding, and we are seeking a Junior PMO Administrator to support programme delivery excellence across a high-profile account.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on role for a Junior PMO Administrator who will support day-to-day programme operations. You will work closely with delivery teams and stakeholders to maintain governance frameworks, ensure reporting accuracy, and uphold client relationships. The role offers exposure to large-scale public sector transformation and requires adaptability to both company and client systems.

Key Responsibilities

PMO Support: Maintain PMO standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks across the programme, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organisational objectives.
Programme Oversight: Provide support for portfolio reporting, risk tracking, and issue management.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with civil servants, government officials, and public sector executives.
Governance & Assurance: Maintain existing governance structures including steering committees, programme boards, and assurance processes.
Resource & Finance Management: Support resource allocation, capacity planning, and budget tracking across the PMO function.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

Any Experience: across PMO and UK public sector environments.
Education: GCSE / National 5 grades.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
Public Sector Knowledge: Understanding of government processes and delivery environments.
Methodologies: Familiarity with agile and waterfall approaches.
Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to engage effectively with civil servants and public sector stakeholders.
Commercial Acumen: Basic budget management and financial tracking skills.
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.

Adaptability: Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments with changing requirements.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
