Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fibre Splicing Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fibre optic cables, ensuring optimal network performance and reliability. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality connectivity solutions to our clients, supporting the backbone of modern communication infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge fibre optic projects in a fast-paced environment, where your technical skills and mechanical knowledge will make a tangible impact.

Duties

Perform precise fibre splicing using specialized equipment to connect fibre optic cables efficiently and accurately
Conduct routine inspections and testing of fibre networks to identify faults or performance issues
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised splicing equipment to prepare and join fibre cables in various environments
Maintain detailed records of splicing activities, network configurations, and test results for quality assurance

Requirements

Proven experience with fibre splicing techniques and equipment in a telecommunications or network environment
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical devices essential for installation and repair tasks
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and network diagrams accurately
Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs
Experience working on legacy networks.
Experience using Exfo OTDR.

Pay: £25,420.00-£60,000.00 per year
