LOLER Inspector – Lifting Equipment

What you’ll do
- Carry out LOLER Thorough Examinations on lifting equipment, cranes, hoists and accessories at client sites across Gloucestershire.
- Produce clear, concise inspection reports/certificates and advise customers on any defects or remedial actions.
- Give practical safety-first guidance to clients and colleagues, helping them stay compliant.
- Plan and manage your own workload, liaising directly with customers and representing the company on site.
- (If you have the background or interest) assist our workshop team with servicing, repairs and proof-load testing.
What we’re looking for
Essential
- Proven experience performing LOLER inspections independently and confidently on client sites.
- Strong understanding of lifting equipment, cranes, hoists and accessories.
- Great customer manner — friendly, reliable and professional.
- Accurate, timely paperwork habits (reports, job sheets, certs).
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- LEEA / NVQ / apprenticeship or similar relevant qualification.
- IPAF / PASMA / CSCS cards.
- Electrical or hydraulic fault-finding experience.
