Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Construction professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of landscape projects, including construction, maintenance, and horticultural tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse outdoor projects, utilise a range of tools and machinery, and contribute to creating beautiful and functional outdoor spaces. Responsibilities
- Assisting with the construction of landscape features such as patios, pathways, retaining walls, and planting beds
- Operating machinery including excavators and power tools safely and efficiently
- Performing landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, fertilising, and watering
- Installing irrigation systems and ensuring their proper functioning
- Using hand tools for planting, digging, and shaping soil or terrain
- Maintaining equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance
- Supporting team members in project planning and execution to meet deadlines
- Ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to during all activities
Experience
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance or construction is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and gardening techniques is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery such as excavators and irrigation systems is desirable
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and gardening equipment is essential
- Experience with construction projects involving landscaping or outdoor structures will be considered an asset
- A valid PERSON (Personal Outdoor Safety & Horticultural) certification or equivalent is beneficial but not mandatory
