The Thatch Inn is a 14th Century family owned Inn, with 24 bedrooms.
We are a fairly small team looking for like minded individuals to join us and help make us one of the best out there.
As part of the Housekeeping department, you will ensure that all the bedrooms and bathrooms are cleaned to the highest standard on a daily basis and that public areas of the hotel are maintained clean and tidy
You’ll deal with any reasonable requests from guests professionally and politely, ensure lost property is handed to your manager and report any maintenance issues in a timely manner.

We are looking for someone with a flexible approach to work, a ‘can do’ attitude and great attention to detail.
You’ll be passionate and take pride in your work. You’ll also need to be punctual, well presented and helpful to guests at all times.
The candidate must be reliable, able to overcome the small challenges and want to be able to make a difference.
All team members receive an equal share of tips, with 100% going to the team
Duties:
- Clean and tidy guest rooms and common areas according to established standards
- Change bed linens, replenish towels, and restock amenities
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Empty rubbish containers and replace liners
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate department
- Respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor when interacting with guests
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed
