Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Part-Time Receptionist to join our Pro Shop team from March to October. This role is ideal for individuals with strong administrative skills who enjoy providing excellent customer service in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, assisting visitors, and supporting various administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.

This role is mainly an evening and holiday cover role that will vary in hours per week and will cover the summer months. This role is mainly based on the weekend in the evenings but further hours may become available as the summer progresses.

You will also be required to cover the bar on some evenings during the week - Full Training will be given.

Duties

Welcome visitors and clients in a courteous and professional manner
Answer phone calls promptly, using proper phone etiquette, and direct enquiries appropriately
Cover the bar in the evenings and lock up as required.
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and postal mail
Maintain appointment schedules and coordinate bookings efficiently
Perform data entry tasks using BRS Golf, Hotel Software and other systems.
Assist with administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and organising documents
Provide information and assistance with Golfers, Hotel Guests, Visitors and members of the public as needed.
Keep the reception area tidy and welcoming at all times

Requirements

Proven office experience or administrative background
Strong computer skills
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Demonstrated phone etiquette and communication skills
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Previous clerical experience is desirable but not essential
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for organised individuals seeking part-time employment during the spring and summer months. The position requires a friendly demeanour, strong organisational abilities, and proficiency in office software to support our team effectively.

Shifts will be over the 7 days a week on a rota basis yet to be formalised until the candidate is in position.

We are open during the hours of 7am and 8pm during the summer months.

Pay: £12.75-£13.00 per hour
