SEO & Digital Marketing Executive
Silo Digital Ltd | Hybrid/Remote (must be within commuting distance of Worcester) | Permanent, full-time
About SILO
SILO is a boutique SEO and AI search consultancy based in Worcester, UK. We work with established ecommerce and B2B brands who want a genuine strategic partner, not just another agency.
We build search strategies around commercial outcomes, not keyword lists. That means traditional SEO, AI search optimisation (visibility across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity), content strategy, and paid media - all joined up and driven by what actually moves revenue. We use proprietary tools and AI-powered workflows to deliver at a depth and pace that larger agencies can't match.
We're now looking for our first dedicated hire to join the team and grow with us.
The Role
This is a hands-on, varied role working directly alongside the founder. No two days look the same - and that's by design.
You'll be involved in:
- Technical SEO - site audits, crawl analysis, on-page optimisation, schema implementation
- Content operations - editing, uploading, and optimising articles across client sites
- Ecommerce SEO - product page optimisation, category taxonomy, platform management (Shopify, WooCommerce)
- Reporting and analysis - monthly client reports, keyword tracking, performance insights
- Off-page strategy - link building, digital PR coordination, competitor analysis
- AI search optimisation - helping clients build visibility across AI-driven search experiences
- Research and ad hoc projects - whatever the business needs on a given day
This isn't a role where you'll do one thing and get comfortable. It's a role where you'll learn fast, take ownership quickly, and become a fundamental part of how this business operates.
Who We're Looking For
You're 1-3 years into your SEO or digital marketing career. You've got enough experience to understand the fundamentals - how search engines work, what good on-page looks like, how to navigate a CMS - but you're hungry to go deeper and develop real expertise.
Beyond that, we're looking for someone who is:
- Hands-on and proactive - you don't wait to be told what to do next
- Technically inclined - comfortable with AI platforms, spreadsheets, CMS platforms, and not afraid of data
- AI-native - you already use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or similar in your workflow and have a genuine understanding of how large language models work, not just as a novelty but as a professional tool
- Detail-oriented - whether it's a product description or a technical audit, the quality of your output matters
- Ambitious but patient - you want to progress and you will, but you understand that comes from consistently doing great work, not from a title change
What's In It For You
- Work directly with a senior SEO consultant - you'll learn more in six months here than in two years at a large agency. The founder has led SEO for major international brands and now runs high-level strategy across a portfolio of clients. You'll have a front-row seat to all of it.
- Real responsibility from day one - this isn't a role where you'll be making tea and watching from the sidelines. You'll be doing real work on real accounts immediately.
- Progression - for the right person, this role grows as the business grows. You'll be the first hire, which means you'll shape how the team develops.
- Remote working (moving to hybrid) - fully remote to start, with plans to move into a Worcester-based office within 12 months for hybrid working (2-3 days per week in the office). This is why we need someone within commuting distance.
- Equipment provided - we'll get you set up with everything you need
- Your birthday off - on top of standard holiday allowance
- A modern, AI-forward agency - we don't do things the old way for the sake of it. If there's a smarter, faster way to work, we find it and use it.
Salary
£25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience, plus a discretionary performance bonus tied to the success of the business.
Interview Process
We want to make sure this is the right fit on both sides, so our process is straightforward:
- Intro call (20-30 minutes) - a relaxed conversation to get to know each other, understand your experience, and talk through the role.
- Take-home task - a short, practical assignment that reflects the kind of work you'd actually be doing. Nothing excessive - we respect your time.
- Task presentation and final interview (45-60 minutes) - walk us through your work, answer some deeper questions, and ask your own. This is where we both decide if it's the right move.
Contract
Permanent, full-time. Subject to a 6-month probation period with regular check-ins and clear objectives so we're both confident it's the right fit.
