Job Role: Senior Dog Groomer
Location: Hereford, Herefordshire (Brand New Salon Opening!)
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum (Dependent on experience)

About Us
We are incredibly excited to announce the opening of Hereford’s newest premium dog grooming salon! We are building a modern, stress-free environment focused on top-tier welfare and exceptional styling. As a brand new salon, we are looking for a passionate, highly skilled Senior Dog Groomer to help us build our reputation, establish a loyal client base, and lead the grooming table with excellence from day one.
The Role
As our Senior Dog Groomer, you will be the creative heartbeat of our salon. You will be responsible for providing high-quality, precision grooming while ensuring every dog in your care feels safe, relaxed, and loved.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-standard, breed-standard styling and customized creative clips based on client requests.
Manage full grooming processes including bathing, drying, clipping, scissoring, nail trimming, and ear cleaning.
Assess canine coat condition, skin health, and behavior, adapting your approach for nervous or elderly dogs.
Maintain impeccable salon hygiene, ensuring tools are sterilised and work areas are kept pristine.
Build strong, trusting relationships with local pet parents by providing honest, professional consultations.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
Qualifications: Must hold a Diploma in Dog Grooming (e.g., City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma or OCNNI Level 3 Diploma).
Experience: Proven salon experience working as a professional groomer in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skill:
Complete confidence in all breed-type grooms and styling techniques, with excellent hand-scissoring skills.
Portfolio:
A portfolio of work demonstrating a range of styles and breeds (before/after photos will be required prior to or during the interview).
Vetting:
Must be able to provide professional references from previous employers or industry peers.
Attributes:
A calm, patient demeanor with dogs, excellent customer service skills, and a true team-player attitude to help launch our new salon.
