Full job description

Trainee Audio Visual Engineer / Electrician’s Mate

We are looking for an Electrician’s Mate / Trainee Audio Visual Engineer to join an experienced engineering team. This is a great opportunity for someone with electrical or structured cabling experience who wants to develop a career in AV, networking and technology systems.

The Role

Assist senior engineers with AV installations, including speakers, TVs, HDMI/coax distribution and AV racks.
Install data cabling, RJ45s, CCTV and network equipment.
Assist with containment, power installations and equipment mounting.
Learn AV rack building, testing, commissioning and fault-finding.
Progress towards working independently on installations and call-outs.
Work across construction sites and completed buildings.
Occasional overnight stays with plenty of notice.

Requirements

Previous Electrical Mate, Electrical Improver or Structured Cabling experience.
Basic hand and power tool skills and own tools.
Full clean UK driving licence.
Valid ECS or CSCS card.
Keen to learn and develop within AV and networking.

Salary: £28,000–£35,000 depending on experience, with excellent training and progression opportunities.

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
