At Comprehensive Therapies based in The Open Practice, we believe excellent care comes from understanding the whole person rather than simply treating a diagnosis.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist with experience and interest in working with adults to join our growing multidisciplinary team.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within an innovative service that integrates psychology, neurodevelopmental services, physical rehabilitation, medicine, nutrition, mindfulness-based approaches, and emerging neuroscience-informed interventions.

You will work alongside psychologists, psychotherapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, neurodevelopmental specialists, GP’s, psychiatrists, and other medical and rehabilitation professionals within a CQC registered purpose-built clinical environment that includes consultation rooms, therapy spaces, and a rehabilitation gym group/training space.

Our specialists work together across psychological therapy, physiotherapy, nutritional therapy and other evidence-informed treatments. Job Purpose

To provide high-quality psychological assessment, formulation, intervention, consultation, and evaluation for adults presenting with a broad range of psychological difficulties within a multidisciplinary service.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Practice

Undertake psychological assessments and formulations.
Deliver evidence-based interventions.
Produce clinical reports and correspondence.
Undertake risk assessments and risk management planning.
Maintain accurate clinical records.

To create a safe and supportive therapeutic space for clients

MDT Working

Participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
Work collaboratively with internal and external professionals.
Support integrated treatment planning.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications

Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or due to qualify imminently) as accredited by the BPS.
Eligible for HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.

Experience

Experience working with children and adolescents.
Experience conducting psychological assessments.
Experience delivering evidence-based interventions.
Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.

Knowledge

NICE guidance relevant to child and adolescent mental health.
Psychological models of formulation and intervention across conditions.
Safeguarding and risk principles.
Awareness of record keeping, data protection and confidentiality principles
Doctoral level knowledge of research methodology, research design, and data analysis

Skills

Skills in conducting psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention
Excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate clinically sensitive information to clients and/or professional colleagues
Strong report-writing abilities.
Ability to work independently and within teams.
Ability to manage a varied caseload.
