Hours: 25 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday with flexible shift patterns
Term time only
**Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.**
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive, organised and finance-focused Admin Assistant to join our team at George Watson’s College. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career while gaining experience across finance, administration, marketing and business support within a professional educational environment.
Working as part of the Sodexo team, you will provide high-quality administrative support, with a particular focus on finance administration and the accurate management of eProfit, alongside supporting marketing activities and the smooth day-to-day running of College operations.
What You'll Do:

Manage day-to-day finance administration, including eProfit, invoice processing, data entry, reconciliations, spreadsheets and maintaining accurate financial records.

Provide efficient general administrative support, including email management, document preparation, filing, meeting coordination and record keeping.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and administrative information, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.

Support marketing activities, including preparing promotional materials, social media content and communications.

Assist with the coordination of projects, events and wider College initiatives.

Provide professional and responsive support to staff, students, parents, suppliers and other stakeholders.

Use Microsoft Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and social media platforms effectively across finance, administration and marketing activities.

Support Health & Safety administration and other operational requirements as required.
What You’ll Bring:
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident working with financial information. You’ll be comfortable working accurately with numbers and financial systems, while also managing a variety of administrative and marketing tasks in a busy environment.
You will ideally have:

Previous experience in finance administration, accounts, or a similar role, with a good understanding of financial processes.

Experience using eProfit or a similar finance system (desirable).

Strong Excel skills and confidence working with spreadsheets, data and financial information.

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and a methodical approach to financial and administrative tasks.

Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work professionally with a range of stakeholders.

The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint.

A positive, professional attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.

Experience in marketing, social media or content creation would be beneficial but is not essential.
