Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Driver/Yard Worker to join our team. This role involves assisting with the organisation and maintenance of the yard, operating vehicles, and supporting logistical operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and experience with commercial driving or delivery roles. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure operational safety
Be part of a driving team when required
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations
Maintain a clean and organised yard area, adhering to health and safety standards.

Requirements

Valid driver’s licence, including specific <PERSON> driver qualifications if applicable
Experience with commercial driving is advantageous
Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and minor repairs
Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction
Physical fitness to handle manual tasks.
Proven reliability with a good safety record in previous driving.
Must be over 21 for insurance purposes
