Overview
Shalam Thermoforming UK LTD, have recently invested £10 million over the past couple of years alongside further investment in new machinery! We are looking to recruit a number of Extrusion Operators to join our team. The Extrusion Operator works as part of a team to set up and operate fast moving extrusion lines, drying and blending equipment and offline granulation. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and safely. You will be able to develop your own skills and gain experience working for a well-established and growing business, with a great team to offer support and guidance.
Key responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and tend to extrusion lines, drying & blending equipment
- Monitor and maintain product specifications, carrying out online adjustments as required
- Carry out checks relevant to production specifications
- Wrap & despatch finished product
- Accurately complete all production paperwork
- Support the shift Team leader & carry out all quality tests / measurements
- Movement of pallets as required
- General housekeeping duties
- Participation in hygiene audits
- Promote and maintain safe working practices
- Maintain a good standard of housekeeping, keep production and associated areas in a safe, healthy and hygienic manner
The successful applicant will follow a continental shift pattern for this role.
Knowledge / experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience within Extrusion is desirable
- Working as a team player
- High level of quality control and attention to detail.
- Awareness of Health and Safety
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £32,524.42 per year
