Hot Tub Servicing and Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
The Junior Hot Tub Servicing and Maintenance Technician is an entry-level trainee role responsible for supporting the testing, maintenance, repair, and servicing of hot tubs. Working alongside and learning from senior technicians, you will develop the technical expertise required to safely diagnose and resolve mechanical, plumbing, and electrical issues. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with an eagerness to learn, have a technically inclined mindset and good communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repairs (Under Supervision):
- Assist senior technicians in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, plumbing, and electrical issues.
- Learn to safely replace faulty components, pumps, heaters, and control packs.
- Shadow senior staff to learn advanced troubleshooting and system diagnostics.
Customer Service Team Support:
- Deliver clear, friendly demonstrations and basic guidance to our customers service team on hot tub operations and daily maintenance.
- Coordinate with the customer service team to provide basic technical support and updates.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain clear, accurate service records and logs via company digital systems.
- Report recurring issues, major technical faults, or parts requirements to senior team members.
Health and Safety:
- Strictly adhere to all health and safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure the safe handling, transport, and storage of water treatment chemicals and tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- A strong mechanical or electrical aptitude (e.g., experience with DIY mechanics, engineering coursework, or hobbies involving hands-on problem-solving).
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.
- Strong willingness to learn new technical skills and safety regulations.
- High attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and technical guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently as skills progress.
Preferred (But Not Essential):
- Technical or in-service training/coursework in electrical engineering, plumbing, or a related trade.
- Basic prior experience in a maintenance, trade assistant, or hands-on customer-facing role.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to comfortably lift and move heavy equipment and components (up to 30kg).
