Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a passion for creating enjoyable experiences, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your hospitality expertise while contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Previous restaurant experience and knowledge of food safety standards are highly valued. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, engaging with patrons, and ensuring the bar area remains clean and organised throughout their shift.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience
Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of drinks
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies
Ensure compliance with food safety and alcohol licensing regulations at all times
Manage cash register operations, including handling payments and giving correct change
Restock bar supplies as needed during shifts to ensure smooth service flow
Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and prevent over-intoxication

Qualifications

Previous experience working as a bartender or in a hospitality role within a restaurant setting is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is essential
Strong serving skills with an emphasis on customer satisfaction
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
Good organisational skills to keep the bar area tidy and well-stocked
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and friendliness
A personable attitude with strong communication skills suitable for engaging with diverse guests
