Job Summary
Wilson Associates Ltd are seeking a skilled Wet Paint Sprayer to join our clients Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to various surfaces using spray equipment. This role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently within a busy environment. The Wet Paint Sprayer will play a vital part in ensuring their products meet the highest standards of quality and durability.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Operate spray guns and other power tools to apply paint evenly across different materials and surfaces.
- Mix paints and coatings accurately according to specifications, utilising basic maths skills.
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
- Maintain and clean spray equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist with fabrication, assembly, or other related tasks as required within the workshop or warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct inspections of finished work for consistency, coverage, and finish quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in wet on wet painting, fabrication, or warehouse environments preferred. .
- Basic maths skills for mixing paints and measuring components accurately.
- Experience with the use of spray equipment and knowledge of surface preparation techniques essential.
- Ability to work safely around industrial equipment and adhere to health & safety regulations.
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Previous experience in handling welding or working with fabrication processes is desirable but not essential.
