Vacancy Job Title: Social Care Team Leader
Location: Rowlands Gill, Gateshead
Salary / Rate of Pay: £29,681, basic - regular overtime available to boost salary
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours Available: 44 hours
- 39 hours session delivery plus an additional 5 hours to complete administrative tasks associated with the role. These will be completed at our Head Office located in Gateshead.
Shift Pattern Requirements:
- 3 x 13 hour shifts comprising of the following
- This will encompass a combination of days and waking nights
- Admin Hours – 5 per week

Essential Criteria
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Confident driving an automatic vehicle, which is a large adapted wheelchair-accessible vehicle owned by the client

Key Responsibilities
Support Provision
- Deliver high-quality, safe, and person-centred support in people’s homes and during office-based shifts, working on a rota over seven days.
- Act as part of the contingency plan to cover absences and holidays within the package you manage.
- Safeguard the well-being of the people you support at all times.
- Build professional and supportive relationships with the people you support and their chosen contacts.
- Identify achievable support and rehabilitation goals.
- Lead and guide Support Workers to follow and implement care plans.
- Agree support schedules with commissioners, the people we support, and Support Workers, ensuring funded hours are delivered as agreed.
- Keep the Case Manager informed of support delivery, achievements, and any issues.
Line Management
- Line manage Support Workers, including regular supervisions and observations.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.
- Lead by example and maintain open, clear communication with all team members.
- Work with the Recruitment team to hire Support Workers according to individual needs and preferences, and ensure they are fully briefed and trained.
