Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire and Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire and security systems across various sites. This role offers an exciting opportunity for professionals with a strong technical background in electrical and mechanical systems, construction, and system design. The ideal applicant will possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure the safety and security of our clients’ premises.

Duties

Install, commission, and maintain a range of fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems.
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams to facilitate accurate installation and troubleshooting.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out installation tasks efficiently.
Conduct system testing and diagnostics to identify faults or inefficiencies; perform repairs or replacements as necessary.
Collaborate with construction teams during system integration phases on-site to ensure seamless installation processes.
Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and maintenance procedures.
Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Experience

Mechanical knowledge related to the installation of security hardware and fire protection equipment.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and electrical wiring is required.
Strong electrical experience within construction environments is highly desirable.
Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards related to fire detection and security systems.
Previous involvement in system troubleshooting, repair work, or project management within the fire/security sector will be advantageous. Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
