We’re looking for a commercial, proactive and creative Commercial Events & Marketing Lead to take ownership of our events, group bookings and marketing.
The main aim of the role is simple:
Get more people through the door and generate more revenue.
You’ll be responsible for developing events, generating group bookings, building local partnerships and managing the marketing activity that supports them.
What you’ll be doing
- Generate and convert new event and group booking enquiries.
- Build relationships with local businesses, organisations and potential partners.
- Develop events and promotions to drive trade, particularly during quieter periods.
- Manage our social media and marketing activity, working with the wider team where needed.
- Create campaigns and content with a clear commercial purpose.
- Follow up enquiries and previous customers to maximise bookings and repeat business.
- Identify opportunities to upsell food, drinks, entertainment and event packages.
- Manage the forward events calendar and make sure we are actively working to fill it.
- Track bookings, enquiries and revenue to understand what is actually working.
What we’re looking for:
Someone who is commercially minded, organised, creative and good with people.
You’ll need to be comfortable with both selling and marketing. Whether that means picking up the phone to a local business, replying to an enquiry, creating an Instagram campaign or coming up with a new event.
Experience in hospitality, events, sales, marketing or business development would be useful, but we're more interested in someone who is proactive and wants to make things happen.
We’re not looking for someone who just wants to post on Instagram.
We want someone who sees a quiet date as an opportunity and thinks:
“How do we fill it?”
What’s in it for you?
- Hourly rate starting from £13.50 per hour (dependant on experience)
- Uncapped commission based on the revenue you generate
- Genuine ownership of the role and the opportunity to shape our events and marketing
- A varied role where no two weeks are the same
- The chance to directly influence what you earn by driving new business
The more revenue you generate, the more you earn.
Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
Benefits:
Work Location: In person
