Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate baker/pastry chef to bake/finish and pack all our viennoiserie and bakes. The ideal candidate should have a background in pastry production and preparation, with an excellent eye for detail and a love for creating. As a viennoiserie baker, you will be responsible for producing high-quality pastries from start to finish that meet our standards of excellence. Your expertise in food safety and kitchen operations will ensure that all products are made to perfection while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities

Finishing our viennoiserie by using piping bags and producing creams.
Packing the viennoiserie on to orders when finishing.
Being able to work alone from time to time and unsupervised is an absolute must as this is an evening role starting at 4pm.
Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve optimal results while maintaining consistency in product quality.
Collaborate with the management team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the baking area, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Assist in inventory management.

Skills

Proven experience as a pastry chef or in a similar role within the bakery world is essensial.
Strong knowledge of food production techniques and food preparation methods.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
A passion for baking is highly desirable.

Unsociable hours starts at 5pm which increases your hourly rate by 10%.
