About the Role
Come and join our fantastic team here at Cedar Health and Wellbeing. We’re currently recruiting motivated, positive and compassionate individuals to join our Supported Living Outreach service in Garstang, supporting adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs.
This role is ideal for someone who can use their initiative, think creatively, and take a proactive, outcome-focused approach. Whether you’re new to care or already experienced, you’ll receive full training and ongoing support to grow in your role and progress your career with us.
This role involves providing dedicated support to a male individual within his family home, working both independently and alongside family members to ensure high-quality care and support.
Working Hours
The role follows a weekday shift pattern as outlined below:
- Monday: 9:00am – 3:30pm
- Tuesday: 10:30am – 4:30pm
- Wednesday: 10:30am – 4:30pm
- Thursday: 10:30am – 4:30pm or 10:30am – 9:00pm
- Friday: 9:00am – 9:00pm
While the position does not typically include weekend or night shifts, flexibility is essential. There may be occasions where additional hours are required to cover respite care, annual leave, or sickness.

Your Responsibilities
· Provide high-quality care and support to individuals with autism and/or learning disabilities in a residential setting
· Deliver personalised support as outlined in each individual’s bespoke plan
· Encourage choice, control, and independence in all aspects of daily life
· Support the development of life skills and community inclusion
· Promote health, wellbeing, and safety at all times
· Build strong, respectful relationships with the people you support

Requirements
· Aged 18 or over
· Must have the Right to work in the UK - We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role, and it is therefore not guaranteed for any candidates.
· Role is subject to an Enhanced DBS and Barred List check and satisfactory pre-employment checks
· Full UK Driving Licence – Essential
· Able to work day and night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
Desirable (but not essential):
· A qualification in Health and Social Care
· Experience working with adults with autism, learning disabilities, or behaviours of concern
Pay: £13.45 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Garstang, Lancashire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
