Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roofers Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to roofing projects by providing essential support in a fast-paced environment. As a Roofers Labourer, you will assist skilled roofers with various tasks, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality on every project site. This position is ideal for individuals eager to develop their construction skills and gain valuable experience in roofing and related trades.

Duties

Assist roofers with loading, unloading, and organizing materials and tools on-site
Prepare work areas by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers
Support the installation of roofing materials by handing tools and supplies to skilled workers
Perform general site clean-up to maintain a safe and tidy work environment
Carry out heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal sheets, and insulation boards
Operate power tools under supervision, including drills, saws, and grinders
Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure personal and team safety at all times

Skills

Basic understanding of schematics and construction plans is a plus
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
Knowledge of roofing processes and materials is advantageous but not required
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the day
Familiarity with masonry, carpentry, plumbing or welding can be beneficial for cross-training opportunities
Strong work ethic with a focus on teamwork and attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills such as roofing techniques or equipment operation
