Full job description

Ready to start your career in childcare and learn on the job?

At Country Kids Day Nursery Farndon, we’re looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our amazing team and gain hands-on experience while working towards your Level 3 qualification in childcare.

This role will not require you to be in full ratio's for the first 6 months, but instead, you will be an additional staff member within the room, assisting and learning the role alongside coursework and additional training.

This opportunity is also available for those who are already Level 2 qualified and wish to continue their professional development by completing their Level 3 qualification.

Position Details:

Hours: Min of 30 hours per week (3 x 10 hour days)
Hourly Rate: £8.16 per hour for first year (for the first year of the apprenticeship, regardless of age; pay scale increases after one year based on age)
Location: Country Kids Day Nursery, Farndon

Key responsibilities:

Assist the team with daily routines and activities, gaining experience in a range of childcare tasks
Support the development and well-being of the children in your care
Learn how to deliver age-appropriate activities and follow individual routines
Understand and adhere to nursery policies and procedures to maintain a safe, nurturing environment
Work as part of a collaborative team to ensure a positive experience for both children and staff
Develop communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues
