Vacancy Type: Permanent

Location: This position is based at the National Records Group, National Record Centre, Audax Road, York, YO30 4US. During your training period you would need to be office based.

Hours: 35 hours per week. Part-time or flexible working can be considered.

Salary range: Band 6, £25,409 per annum.

Your experience and skills

Who are we looking for?

Manage the movement of records and data, tracking documentation to and from the Records Centre to ensure accuracy and accountability.

Maintain and update records systems, ensuring data within electronic records management systems is accurate, complete and up to date.

Produce reports on record status, providing clear insights into availability, location and tracking of documentation.

Investigate and resolve missing or unavailable records, liaising with stakeholders and reporting on outcomes.

Provide access to records and information, including prints, source documents and CAD files, ensuring timely and secure delivery.

Maintain reference libraries and archives, supporting easy retrieval and consistent organisation of records.

Carry out general administrative duties, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the Records Centre.

Support records configuration and control, including drawing numbers, version control and document formats.

Offer guidance on records processes and standards, helping colleagues comply with company and industry requirements.

Identify and suggest process improvements, contributing to more efficient and effective records management practices.

Educated to "A" Levels or relevant experience.
