The Role
As an Apprentice Service Technician, you will be trained to service, maintain, and repair light vehicles (up to 3.5 tonnes). You’ll gain hands-on experience alongside experienced professionals while developing technical skills across all areas of vehicle mechanics and electronics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing vehicles in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Diagnosing faults and repairing components
- Replacing worn or faulty parts
- Supporting service teams with repair advice and time estimates
- Maintaining accurate service and repair records
Training & Development
This is a fully supported 3-year apprenticeship programme, combining:
- On-the-job training at Lakeland Land Rover
- Classroom learning (day release at college)
- E-learning and practical assessments
- Dedicated mentor support
On completion, you will achieve:
- Level 3 Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance
- JLR-specific qualifications and certifications
- Industry-recognised automotive qualifications

Entry Requirements
- GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) in English, Maths, and two other subjects
- Predicted grades will be considered
- A driving licence is preferred but not essential

- Full-time position
- Monday to Friday
- Saturday's worked on a Rota basis
