The Role
We are seeking an IT Technician to provide first-line IT support across the business. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of IT systems by acting as the first point of contact for user issues, faults and service requests.
You will support business-as-usual IT operations, assist with user account administration and equipment setup, and ensure issues are logged, tracked and resolved in a timely manner. You will also work closely with the internal IT team and our parent company to escalate and resolve more complex technical issues.
In addition, you will support routine system checks, onboarding and offboarding processes, and contribute to IT projects and continuous improvement activities as required. Some UK travel will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support for all users across the business.
- Act as the initial point of contact for IT issues, faults and service requests.
- Manage and maintain the daily IT action/issue log, ensuring timely updates and resolution tracking.
- Support business-as-usual IT operations, ensuring continuity of service.
- Carry out routine IT checks and system monitoring tasks.
- Support new starter setup and leaver processes, including account creation, permissions changes and equipment allocation/recovery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day hardware, software and connectivity issues.
- Liaise with the internal IT team and parent company IT support for escalation and resolution of complex issues.
- Assist with basic IT infrastructure tasks including user account management via Active Directory.
- Support phone system queries and basic troubleshooting.
- Assist with IT projects and system improvements as required.
- Maintain accurate records of issues, resolutions and IT assets.
- Ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures and security standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an IT support or helpdesk / first-line support role.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of IT systems and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Active Directory user and group management.
- Understanding of IP networking fundamentals
- Awareness of telephony/phone systems.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple support requests.
- A proactive and organised approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider IT function.
- Experience with ticketing systems and IT service desks would be an advantage.

Schedule: Monday to Friday in line with business needs. Some out-of-hours may be required.
