Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and passengers, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the vehicle in excellent condition. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on efficiency and professionalism.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and delivery vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries and pickups
Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any issues promptly
Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules and delivery updates
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
Assist with minor mechanical repairs or troubleshooting when necessary
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications

Valid UK driving licence with relevant endorsements for commercial driving (e.g., <PERSON> driver)
Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver with a strong driving record
Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to operate various types of vehicles safely and efficiently
Previous experience in delivery or logistics roles is preferred
Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long periods of driving

This role is suitable for individuals who are organised, dependable, and committed to delivering exceptional service. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication abilities, mechanical aptitude, and a thorough understanding of safe driving practices.

Pay: From £200.00 per day
